He’s knocked out a few guys in violent fashion and lost convincingly to a well composed and disclipned Jouban.
Entertaining to see stand and throw? Certainly. A special talent that will evolve into a title contender or champion? No way, no how.
His match ups will dictate his success, and I think that will become more readily apparent if he enters the top 10 or starts to earn higher profile fights (I suppose all predicated on the outcome versus Ponzinibbio).
Entirely possible for him to go on a skid, being any combination of picked apart, outbrawled, clipped or outgrappled. Remember, no one in 2014 expected Matt Brown to be 2-5 in his last 7 either.
