That sure is a lot of Brazilian fellers!

Also you are too polite to mention that the date clash with the Shendokan invitational no touch KO combat championships clearly must have impacted attendance at this Mundials. Phone Post 3.0

For some reason I missed Lovato, I thought you meant Zak and Clark. So that makes it three Americans, two Japanese and one Dane.

Hmm, I don't count kron Clark etc as American since their parents are Brazilian. True test would be "who would you represent at the Olympics if BJJ was on the programme?" None of those guys would say the US... Phone Post 3.0

It seems strange that Braulio and Galvao are in the same weight class, given the significant size difference.

CodeGeek - It seems strange that Braulio and Galvao are in the same weight class, given the significant size difference.

They fought in 2008 mundials final. I think Braulio almost always does meio pesado, doing pesado in 2009 (and winning).

braulio and galvao have always been the same division and both weight about the same i would venture. both moved up to medio pesado from medio at about the same time.

too bad we get braulio and andre at the semis instead of a final but i guess it only makes it more likely to happen. im so stoked for that match Phone Post 3.0

When did Marcelo Mafra lose in the medio division? What a horrible PBP by bloody elbow. They should have just called it the Keenan report instead. Phone Post

Agreed, what significant size difference? Even back In 04/05/06 before Galvao bulked up it was only one weight class different Phone Post 3.0
