Unfortunately, he’s really the last exciting newer contender left at middleweight right now
It’s a pretty shitty division
Yeah, its certainly not my favorite lol
Israel Adesanya (ranked #2) is confirmed for the next title shot, while many fans believe Sean Strickland (#1) deserves a rematch.
Lol boring is different than weak. I agree that a lot of them are boring stylistically. But there are some exciting ones on the rise such as Aliskerov and Michel Pereira. I won’t even mention Nickal until he beats someone with a pulse.
Are u A.i or ChatGpT bot
5-0 Cesar Almeida just won his UFC debut. Another Glory crossover in that UFC MW division. Came in via a W on DWCS.
Had a trilogy with Pereira down in Brazil.
I’m looking forward to see how Nickal looks vs Brundage and I’m hoping he is able to make a quick turnaround a fight again this summer.
Yeah hes way too inactive IMO. Last time he fought was what? July?
He might be too inactive for some fans but he is not too inactive for his career. You got to remember he is not just a random KOTC fighter but a 3x NCAA champ and a world class freestyle wrestler. He has big dreams. I think he had an injury issue in the fall and didn’t want to fight injured. He is shooting for greatness, it makes sense.
There is a difference between fights that a shot aging vet will take or the fights a broke journyman will take for quick money and the fights someone with championship goals will take.
He wants to have a career like GSP or Khabib, not like say Joey Beltran, Cowboy or Minowa.
No I totally get it. He’s learning on the job, he has I think a total of just over 1 round of octagon experience, if you count the contenders series. I fear if he loses to a guy who isn’t great it will set him back drastically.
Fighters should be fighting minimum twice a year
Strickland was not happy with the money on seven weeks notice. I’m sure he is pissed he is not getting the title shot in August.
Aliskerov is fighting Muniz on June 15th. Good fight.
Great performances from Borralho and Pereira. I’m telling you, you can’t sleep on these MW’s climbing the ranks this year.
I’d quit watching the sport if I didn’t want to watch MW’s like Borralho, Pereira, Nickal, Vieira, Aliskerov etc… compete.
