Last weekend I spoke at a community BBQ about the impact that ABI had on my career. I didn't want to memorize anything so I had my friend and publicist, Mark Dorsey, come on stage and ask me questions.

The fact that I have a brain injury is not something that came quickly or easily to me. Actually, it was problem that was very hard for me to admit for quite some time. As a mixed martial artist and a kickboxer, I was used to hiding injuries and acting tough. Coupled with my gregarious personality and popularity it seemed especially difficult to come to terms with the fact that not all of my mental processes were functioning on the same level that they use to.
