My 8 year old daughters won 1st and 2nd place in the under 50lbs division.

That is so funny... because when we told them about the weight they were scared - they are identical twins but one is smaller due to an issue with her thyroid gland. She was happy that she naturally weighed about 48lbs while her sister was upset that she weighed about 51 lbs... she said she was going to get up early in the morning and exercise 2 weeks before the tournament to lose weight.
Obviously that scares me a little bit since I don't want to give my little girls eating/weight issues from the age of 8 years old! We told her not to worry about that. In the end after they weighed in the guy put them both down for the under 50lbs division, which is a good thing because the next division was filled with kids who weighed about 70lbs and she would have been overpowered by them.
