Nate Diaz 15/15k How Is That Even Possible

Last time when his pay was posted as 15k I thought it was a typo, is he really that cheap?? Phone Post 3.0

No way he would get that little with a better manager imo Phone Post 3.0

Well give him credit where credit is due, he pulls in a bigger crowd than a lot of fighter out there. 15/15 is bang out of order. Phone Post 3.0

He'd be better off in Bellator by far. $100k to win a tournament, and he'd probably get $30k/$30k per fight, given he's a well known name and they need him for match ups against their top guys.

Man this is such a big deal you would think there would be a bigger thread about it....oh wait....there is....

I think he should get more regardless. I thought the UFC was an ethical operation. He is a perennial headliner and top contender. He has been fighting for the UFC for 6 years and was a winner of TUF.

No matter how you slice it he should be making great money he has earned it.

I can see why him and Roy Nelson are so jaded. These dudes fight anyone and everyone... Come out to win and actually fight. Headline shows with their names. Both won the ultimate fighter... And are still living fight to fight.

Doesn't speak well for the UFC as a promotion. Phone Post 3.0

Reported pay is not the entire income fir many fighters. Phone Post 3.0

So what that its not the only pay he gets, I would imagine the higher my base ufc pay, the higher all the behind the scenes stuff is also Phone Post 3.0

For some reason I have a feeling he's making a lot more than that...... just sayin

I don't think that is what is being discussed here. No matter where they are getting income from he deserves to be paid what his peers are being paid then plus whatever he can obtain on his own.

The guy he beat to win tuf could be considered his peer considering they started their UFC career on the same day. Nate has fought more and they have similar accomplishments.

Not sure what is going on but the old "this doesn't reflect their total income" does not apply here. IMO

His manager already said that the reported pay was a mistake/typo/whatever... so many threads already done on this issue but people are to lazy to read and find the facts for themselves

Okay but that is the response every time fighter pay is brought up. We hear about "locker room bonuses" and while that may be true, there is very little in the way of quantitative information to work with so how are we supposed to know? "Trust me; they get paid more" seems to be the response. Even if I do (trust, that is), there's no explicit evidence of it. It'd be nice to know, then, exactly what some of these guys are getting paid.
Yah, but we have zero clue what they get paid, we also have no idea how much they should get paid.
So it becomes tiresome when there are eight threads about how much diaz gets paid.
His contract has gone down after his title fight, that pretty much never happens so it's more likely he has a guaranteed amount built in.
I agree, Diaz bros are draws, people watch them whether they love or hate them and the ufc needs more guys like that. I was just disagreeing that the higher the base pay the higher the undisclosed bonus. That's what I said was wrong. Phone Post 3.0

"This number doesn't represent..."

Then why is there a gap between him and Maynard in this in any way even if it is arbitrary? What's the point?

Nate won the season, Nate has had a title shot, Nate has big wins.

Gray lost the season, Gray fought for a title (twice due to draw) Gray has big wins.

Why even list these numbers as different regardless of what their final REAL pay is? What's the point in the gap real or not, someone give me one legit reason.

If these lists are nothing WHY DO THEY LIST PEOPLE IN ABSURD GAPS AND GIVE THEM TO THE PRESS?

^cause the entire promotion is based on the whims of assholes
