Nate Diaz suffered an undisclosed minor injury during training camp, forcing his welterweight bout against Leon “Rocky” Edwards to be pushed back a month to UFC 263, Yahoo and MMA Junkie reported Tuesday.
Diaz-Edwards was scheduled for UFC 262 on May 15 in Houston. Their five-round bout will now take place on June 12 in Phoenix.
Bummer. I wonder what his injury is.
If the Diaz/Masvidal fight is going to be called a title fight – and it shouldn’t – at least don’t leave out the fact that it was for some phony BMF championship that was a joke to probably EVERY fighter who fights at 185 and above (and the elites at 155 & 170 for that matter) and pretty much anyone with 1/2 a functioning brain.
Diaz has become the biggest internet troll in the sport. Gets the holy hell kicked out of him in his last fight but doesn’t want a rematch. And now this. Wasn’t he “injured” in his last fight and also the second Conor fight? What a fucking joke.
