Never Back Down=Not Bad

Unbelievably, a humorous mood + having absolutely nothing to do on a friday night, led me to seeing Never Back Down. Unbelievably, it was actually not bad for what it was. While the preview made it look like gay portn, it was about as gay as a Smallville episode which is not that gay imo. Daniel-san from the beloved Karate Kid was far more gay than the lead in this movie as is a Joe Rogan-Eddie Bravo UFC telecast. Yes, the villian was kind of gay.

The lead MMA trainer (who was in Blood Diamond) did a pretty good job, and they did a decent job of conveying MMA circuit workouts, training tools such as kettlebells, and the mix of muay thai, throwing, bjj, etc., etc.

The back story was actually kind of decent and the relationship between the main guy and his mom and little brother was well done.

There is also some very fine hotties (females-lol) in the movie. I expected the movie to be horrible, but I actually enjoyed myself throughout it. Just my 2 cents.

Damon Caro was the choreographer, who is an instructor under Dan
Inosanto. Also, most of the stunt guys were from Inosanto Academy. Saw
clips from the movie and the actors were doing a lot of shooto moves.

no need to lie, you were counting the days till it hit the theaters.

; )

lol!

I saw the movie last weekend was fairly impressed and I loved the dialogue between the mother, little brother, and the teacher. Of course there were some cheesy parts but overall I enjoyed it. Just wish I could afford one of the houses those kids lived in :)

Oh brotha.
