For the record, once you reach the base of the skull, it turns back into the spine/centerline. I have the pic's on the side to show how difficult it can be with "different" hairstyles. But, it does show how, above the ears, areas which may look to be illegal are indeed perfectly legal.

Kevin, I was of the understanding that if the strike made contact with the ear, even on the red part in your picture, the strike was legal. Have I been wrong all along?
