NEW Couture talks Best and Worst

Ring Girl, I've never claimed to be perfect.

Randy had mistakingly said Alistair. It has now been corrected.

Randy, I'll never question you partner!

Ah, I get it now, you're annoyed I questioned your article, therefore I must be bitter.

Not saying you have to be perfect and it's nothing personal, just suggesting you guys have somebody proof things before they're posted - it's in your own best interest.

Ring Girl, The entire "command of the English language" bit was quite insulting.

Overeem's victory of Couture was 100% legit with no funny business. It was a great gullotine choke.

You are probably thinking of Misha's kimura on Couture which was ridiculous (thanks to the ref moving them and getting the lock set up nicely).

I agree 100% with Ring Girl. If I'm reading something from a legitimate news source, or if I casually stroll into a store and see a sign, and I see misspelling it really just annoys me. It just shows that someone isn't taking the time to properly edit and compose themselves in a professional manner when they are trying to come off to me as a professional. Especially if that profession is writing.

Also, nothing personal.

"...of only four black belts in the World and the only Australian under Gene LeBell."

This is a joke - LeBell also used to list Roddy Piper and former UFC match maker John Pettrelli (sp?) as black belts in his "system".

I wanna see him fight Fedor

KALMMA - well, it's the truth -- if this is what you're going to present yourself as being, a writer, then you should be held to a higher standard.

Piper is legit (well at least as far as being super tough)

I got the chance to roll with Piper a bit when he was out here in Colorado and I was wrestling for an Indy Fed called CWO (Central Wrestling Org. which has since gone under). His body is pretty beat up, but the guy has great knowledge and knows a lot of judo and "catch" type stuff. We were just warming up and did not roll hard.

Piper later hit me in the head with a chair during our "wrestling" match...which I sold perfectly : )

As for Randy... I had the pleasure of training with him last summer. He is an AWESOME teacher and I wish I had more time to take personals from him

Ring Girl, I have found "typos" in everything from Sports Illustrated to the Atlanta Constitution....from The Sporting News to Ring magazine. I'm sure if I visited your website, I would find grammatical errors as well. There's a thought.

Good interview. I never knew John Donahue was BJJ coach for RAW back then. I just remember him as the ref in Extreme Fighting back in the day. Talked to him once at a gym in LA (this was years ago), seemed like a really cool guy.

I actually hope not to see Couture back inside the ring. I'd rather see him go out as he did... near the top. To watch him come back and flop would be sad.

Ring Girl, please calm down.

Acting like a cunt because someone pointed out a obvious error in your article does nothing to promote yourself as a writer. Just a thought.

KALMMA - I'm not presenting myself as a professional writer, you are.

"

I am not a wrestling fan, but that would be an honor to get hit over the head by Roddy Piper.

Backpedalling dipshits who have to edit every single post they make on a thread (AFTER people have already reacted to the original posts) are a tad bit pathetic... Come to think of it, every editing other than for spelling is pathetic to begin with...

i hope that you all have enjoyed the article. randy was nice enough to take time to answer questions that i hoped would be found interesting to the reader.
