Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and boxing star Tyson Fury will begin the mental warfare during an upcoming press tour.

Ngannou and Fury will square off in an unprecedented heavyweight boxing match on October 28th in Saudi Arabia. Ngannou will make his boxing debut after a long, successful run in MMA.

Ngannou had targeted a fight with Fury for years and talks ramped up after he parted ways with the UFC earlier in 2023. Now, he’ll get the opportunity for a big-money fight against the man he’s always seen himself competing against.
Ahead of their October 28th fight, Ngannou and Fury will begin fight promotion alongside each other during multiple appearances across the world.

Francis Ngannou & Tyson Fury Set To Launch Press World Tour

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Ngannou revealed the tentative plans for a press world tour with Fury.

“Right now it’s London, probably Africa [too], Saudi Arabia, and then we still don’t know about the U.S. yet.”
Ngannou didn’t specify which African nation will host the planned press tour with Fury, nor when the tour itself will kick off. Cameroon and Nigeria could be in the running to host the African portion of the tour.
Fury is unbeaten in his professional boxing career with a 33-0-1 record. He most recently defeated Derek Chisora last December to retain the WBC heavyweight belt.

Fury’s titles won’t be on the line against Ngannou, although the fight will count as a professional matchup as opposed to an exhibition. He was expected to face Oleksandr Usyk for his next fight before negotiations fell apart.

The Ngannou/Fury world tour won’t set records as the Conor McGregor/Floyd Mayweather boxing press tour did, but it’s expected to be a massive event for all involved.

Next month will mark the long-awaited combat sports return of heavyweight knockout artist Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou, a former UFC champion, hasn’t been in action since his title-defending triumph over Ciryl Gane back in January 2022. Since then, “The Predator” has departed the mixed martial arts leader on the back of a lengthy contractual dispute.

After choosing to venture into free agency in pursuit of more desirable terms, the Cameroonian landed in the Professional Fighters League (PFL), a promotion that — among other things — has granted Ngannou’s desire to debut in the boxing ring.
Having long expressed an interest in testing his mettle as a pugilist, the 37-year-old will get the chance against the greatest of challenges on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he’ll throw down with WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury.

Ahead of the blockbuster 10-round crossover clash, which will be promoted by Queensberry, Top Rank, and Ngannou’s promotional banner, GIMIK Fight Promotions, the pair will engage in a press tour that starts today in London.

Nothing says big prizefighting event like a Cameroon press conference.

I’m not even sure half of boxing and MMA fans knew Cameroon was a thing before Ngannou entered the UFC.

They are too friendly and there is no animosity, so I hope at least they’ll turn it into a podcast like conference tour and talk about something interesting.

That’s 100% on Francis…he has no idea what to do or how to react to Tyson. He already came into this with zero promotional footage, and now he’s doing next to nothing at the press conference too.

Francis has zero ability to create hype for a fight like we have seen countless other fighters do in both boxing and MMA.

He got nothing.

Sure the move he made walking with the belt was big but he got nothing after that.

The public won’t care about his PFL career after this fight but he will be wealthy.

PFL is not gonna be successful with this season and point system they are burning through money on.

Hope this whole thing falls through.

At least he should try to snatch his head cap, wrestling him
Make something viral
Literally copy something from Jake Paul interactions
Fury is doing him big big favor atm

Not really, its easy money for Fury and then he can turn around and fight Usyk next and perhaps Joshua after that.
