Ngannou vs Fury Exhibition Update

I’ve never heard of a actual fight wit no knockdowns in place. This is just a cash grab so some kids who watch boxing and MMA will pay to see these guys spar in the desert.

Zero interest in this so I’ll watch some replay highlights for free on youtube.

I don’t know anyone who pays to watch boxing let alone exhibition matches lol. Can’t wait to see what numbers they try to lie about for this shit show

LOL

I paid for Fury vs Wilder 1&2.
Was well worth my money too.

If this is no knockdowns I’m out. I don’t watch Ngannou fight for no knockdowns I watch him to throw bombs. I watch Fury to jiggle around the ring and tune people up.

I actually did watch their trilogy of fights, but for free lol. Those fights were great actually

Aside the deal me and BarryBondsMVP had about watching a ufc and then boxing, the only boxing match I’ve ever spent my real life money on was McTapper v. Mayweather

Not sure where people are getting the no knockdowns from…

Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou will take place “under the official rules of professional boxing, with 3 judges ringside adopting the 10-point must system. Both fighters however are promising to meet in the middle of the ring, go to war and win by knockout in devastating fashion,” per a release. It will also take place “in a regulation boxing ring under the standard boxing rules.”

More:

“An agreement has been reached with Queensberry, Top Rank and Ngannou’s promotional banner, GIMIK Fight Promotions, to partner with Riyadh Season to host the event.”

Nope. I’ve watched two of Floyd’s exhibitions but thats it. Just not what I like to watch.

Ngannou vs Fury in an exhibition is as interesting to me as watching Gable Steveson wrestle Francis. Just not something I’m paying for or looking forward to or consider entertainment.

Ngannou in MMA vs top 10 HW’s is the only thing I’d consider interesting.

For Fury its a complete waste of his time when he is the best HW boxer on the planet and could box a good contender instead.

I can understand Francis doing this to some extent, he did fight a decent percentage of the best guys of his era before he left and this will be his biggest payday ever. Fury on the other hand is a disgrace.

Floyd did this stuff when he was going to retire and/or retired. Fury doing this while Usyk, Joshua, Ruiz, and other HW’s are available is laughable.

I would say that there have been cases where the best fights haven’t been made in MMA when they should have (Fedor coming to the UFC) but it seems way more common in boxing. Boxers vacating titles all the time, 4 sanctioning bodies, etc. It makes it difficult to watch and keep up.

Yeah under the rules of professional boxing makes it sound like it’s an exhibition match otherwise they would say it’s a pro boxing match.

Floyd is still doing it. He just boxed John Gotti’s grandson.

Yes, I am fine with that because he is retired and isn’t holding up any titles or major fights. Fury doing this now while he is the champ and Usyk, Ruiz, Joshua, etc are around is a disgrace.

Get Joe Rogan vs Wesley Snipes and Steven Seagal in a 2 vs 1 fight on that card.

Ugh, although I’m happy Francis is getting paid, I think Fury is the worst possible match up for him. I’d rather see him box Deontay or Anthony Joshua. Those fights are a lot more exciting

Lol! If Francis gets the Fury fight I will laugh so hard. Everyone here calling him an idiot and then he gets a 30 million payday.

Wilder got like $25MM for his Fury fight. I don’t think Ngannou is getting a 50/50 split with Fury.
