So Condit won the title, but looks like he won't be winning the respect of too many just yet. I'm thinking he's gotta destroy Diaz and GSP to really win over the masses and make them believe in him. The only other champ I can think of in the UFC that has had to struggle with this is Frankie Edgar. Any others out there?

Definitely Cruz like DS said, nobody even cares he's the champ.
Part of that's the divisional recognition I guess, but if Urijah was champ you'd hear a lot more buzz.

Tim Sylvia put on awesome fights for years and people wrote him off because he didnt have a super-hero body.
Guy knocked out almost everyone he fought.
Has 2 action packed brutal bouts with Arlovski and people only harp on the third being lame.
Never got his just due.
