Who is Dana trying to convince this is a fight that anyone wants to see? Miocic is 42 years ago, and hasn’t fought in 3 and a half years. The last time he fought, he was KO’d by NGannou. Don’t get me wrong, Miocic had a respectable run as champ but he is well past his best.
On the other hand - you have the real world’s champion in Tom Aspinall. Aspinall has 8 wins in the UFC heavyweight division, Jones has one. Aspinall has been active - 9 fights in 4 years. The only thing Jones has been active in is keeping 911 operators on their toes.
The only fucking matchup for the HW title that makes sense right now is Jones v Aspinall. Jones wants to retire after Miocic so he can delude himself into thinking he retired as the heavyweight champion, but every fan in the world knows that he will be retiring to avoid fighting the best heavyweight on the planet.
Dana, nobody gives a flying fuck about Jones v Miocic. Call this bullshit off and makes Jones either fight Aspinall, or strip him of the belt and give it to the real champ.
