Last year the UFC entered into a organization wide apparel partnership with Reebok that required all it's athletes to wear Reebok inside the Octagon and during all official UFC events.

On top of that deal, Reebok has also made some individual sponsorship deals with high profile athletes including Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey. Today the sports giant announced it had signed Sage Northcutt to a deal. Northcutt is the first athlete signed by Reebok who has not been a world champion or challenged for a world title, but is one of the most popular and well-known young athletes on the roster:
Let the hate commence.
Sage Northcutt, the UFC's much-maligned young prospect, has signed an individual sponsorship deal with UFC apparel partner Reebok, he announced Wednesday on Twitter. Northcutt joins a roster that includes fighters like Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Paige VanZant, Chris Weidman, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Anthony Pettis, Johny Hendricks and Rory MacDonald.
Reebok is the UFC's official apparel sponsors, so every fight wears the brand and gets paid for it. Northcutt and the others have a side deal that apparently pays them more money.
@sagenorthcutt We're so happy to have you as part of #TeamReebok! Welcome, Sage! ??
