True, but they do help you train harder without tiring. That will improve your cardio, for one. That way when you fail at KO'ing your opponent, you aren't so exhausted that you can't hold your arms up anymore.

IIRC, Fedor's camp was insisting on Olympic level testing for Overeem before they agreed to a match. Reem would never have consented.
