Paul Daley returns to Montreal

Top MMA News has learned that Paul Daley (27-11-2) will take on Luigi Fioravanti (22-10) at Ringside 12.
The fight will headline the event at the Bell Centre in Montreal on October 21.
Daley is a talented striker who has defeated fighters like Dustin Hazelett, Martin Kampmann, and Scott Smith. It will be the British fighter’s first time back in Montreal since his infamous fight with Josh Koscheck at UFC 113. Daley lost the fight and the UFC title shot that came with it and in frustration punched Koscheck well after the bell. With the Montreal fans dislike of Koscheck, there is no doubt that Daley will be their favorite on October 21st.
Since his loss at UFC 113 and release from the UFC, Daley went on a four fight winning streak before finally getting a shot at major title in Strikeforce. In an entertaining first round with Nick Diaz, Daley lost his title challenge by TKO.
Daley will face Luigi Fioravanti, an American, in what will be the first main event for Ringside that does not feature a Canadian. Fioravanti is a UFC veteran who has faced the likes of Jon Fitch, Chris Leben, and Dave Menne. In Fioravanti’s last fight, he lost a decision to Joe Doerksen at Middleweight. Luigi will return to Welterweight to fight Daley in October.
This fight joins a stacked Ringside 12 card that already features Mike Ricci, Stephane Pelletier, Alex Garcia, and Michel Gagnon. Phone Post
