Watching Felder vs. Pearson was rough. You can tell Felder used to be an actor because he was reacting like a goon in an action movie: grimace, lower head, move forward.
What fight would you give "The Irish Dragon" who just went from undefeated to a two fight skid?
This is terrible
Possibly the most pathetic attempt at humor ever?

That was a good fight and he looked good. I just think Pearson had such beautiful head movement that he managed to do enough to win.
@NakedJack That's what I see as the problem. Rather than adapt to the situation, Felder just plods forward making a fuchi face. It is the same pitfall he had against Edson Barbosa.
The Felder of old beats Pearson. Paul just seemed more interested in hitting spinning shit than beating Pearson up against the cage. He needs to fight smarter and get away from the "mean face" telegraph stuff.
Felder is overrated. Pearson is underrated.

I remember posting in this thread where guys were saying felder would kill him that the boxing was being overlooked and it was true. Volume and boxing worked a lot better than walking after your opponent with an angry look on your face. Felder is a tough and dangerous guy but he plods and he is stiff in the boxing; his movement in particular lost him his last 2.
How dare u speak ill of the great white hype , Paul felder . Currently one of my favorites in the game. Philly stand up, OP Sit down
What fight to give Felder? I guess the better question is whether or not Paul is looking for an entertaining and notable fight or more of a winnable fight to get back on track? A future fight that would be incredibly entertaining would be Iaquinta or Masvidal if he comes back down to 155. Knowing Felder, he will push for a high profile opponent. Smart management gets him someone with average cardio and a bit chinny... but still a banger.
It would be fun watching Felder against Abel Trujillo. It would be fireworks until Trujillo gasses... then Felder finishes him with something nasty or something fancy. That is... unless "mean mugging" Paul walks into an obvious left hook.
@JSargus It's a shame Diego Sanchez is a featherweight now. He'd be a great showcase.
@OTMMApodcast Yeah, the 145 thing and the fact that Paul is so closely associated with the BMF
Ranch/Cerrone and Jackson by default probably means no possible way. But from a coaching or managing perspective, 100% that is a showcase fight for Felder. No doubt.
Pearson has some of the best boxing in his division, shit, in the entire roster.
His head movement and footwork is top notch, people could learn a lot watching this guy fight.
@huey freman I agree completely. Ross is a vet and he can box his ass off. He was one step ahead of Felder. Very impressive performance and great game plan.
Stupid thread but I expected alot more from Felder. He looked really good against Barboza. He impressed me, even though he lost. He looked nothing like that against Person though. I hope he'll make a good return in his next.
I don't agree with the people saying Pearson shut down his offence. I just think he was not as aggressive as he's been before. Props to Pearson though, he looked good as always. Not amazing, but You know...
He's a step too slow in his last two fights.
