Pettis' Kick NOT the most amazing thing in MMA...

Sickest thing I've ever seen, PERIOD.

IRISH ARE INFERIOR TO GREEKS - chonans sub of anderson is the most incredible move pulled off ever in mma

NeckCranks - Pettis' kick was phenomenal. Don't get me wrong. And when you factor in the fact that it was the main event...for the belt and all, it seems even more impressive.

But for me....

Sato's flying armar is still the most amazing thing I've seen in MMA. I've always sided with submission guys though, so I may be biased. But that's the most bad-ass thing I've ever seen.

Pettis' kick comes in at number 2.

I would never dis Sato, as he'll always remain as one of my favorite fighters of all time. But Charles Taylor cannot be compared to Ben Henderson!

Ben Henderson deserves more credit...

Don't forget, he was knocked down at least twice before that, by punches. He was hurt several times. Yet he still kept coming back and taking down Pettis and inflicting his own damage.
Then, in the 5th, he got caught by the big knee, then this kick...and still was able to grab a leg and avoid the KO/TKO.

How many other fighters could do that?

Smooth will be just as dangerous a force at 155 as Pettis. The UFC LW's better watch out!

Sato's beautiful flying arm bar had been done previously in competition. I recall seeing a photo of a very young Rickson doing it on one of his brothers. Still, a wonderful brilliant move.

Rampage's slam didn't end the fight... his headbutt did. The KO occured not due to the force of the head hitting the canvas but Rampage's skull smashing into Arona's. Amazing, but illegal.

BigWilliam - It's hard to compare really. The body scissor, inverted flying heel hook Chonan pulled off was amazing. Toby Imada's upside down reverse triangle was sick. But Pettis's kick is right up there.

Agreed.

I feel like it wasnt as technical but very high coolness factor.

Honorable mention to Yves Edwards vs. Josh Thomson.

ns_echoes -  Matt Riddle's textbook Flying Kneetard is still the greatest thing in MMA history

Sad fight. Could barely watch it. Felt bad for Riddle.

The kick was great but the Rampage slam is still my favorite.
