I think a lot of boxers would be surprised at the kind of power a kick can generate. If you've never taken one, the impact can be quite surprising.
Floyd would honestly beat Pettis in a MT rules fight. His boxing skill are far superior to Pettis' striking skills. Just ask Jose Aldo, go to 2.50 in the video.

Kicks have more range than punches. Also Floyd signature stance begs for leg kicks. Floyd would have to be the aggressor and move forward in order to counter the kicks. That's in direct conflict with what makes Floyd successful.

pretty sure a kick or 2 will have floyd limping. Dont think you have the basics of boxing vs kickboxing down.
Stance: Boxers dont stand like MMA fighters. They rely on both legs heavily and one kick from Pettis will have Floyd on his ass. number 2 his legs are in closer range for kicks then an MMA fighters would be (due to stance)
