Cain Valesquez is equivalent to WWE's Undertaker when he had that 20 year undefeated wrestlemania run minus the defeat to Brock Lesnar recently.
NewOldTRT09er -Strykr619 -Cos he got a bloody nose?? LolJimmy Rustler - we always hear how DC says Cain beats him up in training all the time and people are always shocked at how hard they go against each other in sparring
DC is bragging about how Cain is getting him ready for Jones.. scary part is Velasquez doesnt even try to hurt him in sparring.. hes just so good and accurate
This just tells me that they are over training.
Ignore him...he's a Jones fan boy, taking passive aggressive shots at DC. Nothing to see here.
Lol. Some rustled jimmies in this thread.
Cain is hands down the best fighter on the planet. The 2 time UFC heavyweight champion has destroyed everyone in his path including the guy who demolished Fedor 2 times, and the last UFC champ, 2 times. The 4 fights were blow outs and not remotely competitive. Werdum presents some interesting challenges but Cain should win going away and essentially has no legitimate challenge in site.
Cormier has a great run going and some quality wins, but he's yet to win gold. Big difference there.
Dr Schopenhauer -aaronlynton - iron sharpens ironWhat does this even mean?
That means that in order to sharpen a object you need to grind it against something that is harder than the object you wish to sharpen.
In effect it means if you want to get better at something you need to work with people that are better than you already are.
We need to get more UG posters down there to train with these guys....
Strykr619 - When Cain actually becomes an active fighter again I will give him that nod, until then the LHW division is the premiere division in the UFC and JBJ is the champ of that weight class.Have to agree it seems after every fight cains gone a year and a half
Strykr619 -Then not only do you have absolutely no idea what over training is, I also highly doubt you have any idea what regular training is.Jimmy Rustler - we always hear how DC says Cain beats him up in training all the time and people are always shocked at how hard they go against each other in sparring

Galanis -
Bloody noses are pretty common in hard sparring. Don't get me wrong Cain is a beast, but this happens at all gyms everywhere.
Cain and DC = the two best fighters today IMO
This
If I have to pick, I say DC via wrestlefuck
You guys are morans for believing that he didnt say it was from cain.
BTW the sad part here is that OP was not trolling, he was fuckin serious
LMFAO
Cain is great and hes either the #1 or #2 p4p best fighter on earth. Its him or Jones. Hes just taking so long to fight again that I've lost interest. Same thing with Pettis. I was so stoked when Pettis first won the belt but he is injured so damn often Im now wishing he lost the Bendo fight just so the title would be defended.
D241 -You are an idiot. JDS would run through the entire UFC roster with ease. There is one guy that has his number.OSBtro11 -D241 -All that matters today is that UFC gold and I highly doubt the fighters themselves will disagree . A UFC belt is the highest accomplishment in MMA .
I haven't seen an obvious gap in skills from DC or Cain to separate either one from the other.
Based on accomplishments, I think on paper the edge goes to DC.
Unless you are putting more emphasis than I am on the UFC Gold.
But that's like saying Trent Dilfer is a Superbowl champion.
There are Superbowl champions, but some stand out more than the others.
Trent Dilfter, yes, he's a "superbowl" champion, but his ring has a lot to do with factors beyond his skillset.
Cain Velasques, yes he's the "UFC Champion", but who he has fought doesn't make his championship seem Tom Brady-esque, it seems more Trent Dilfer-ish.
Right now, it's like Cain is Trent Dilfer, and DC is Dan Marino. One has the championship, the other doesn't. That doesn't mean that the one without the belt isn't better though.
(PS-Cain, I'm sorry to compare you to Trent Dilfer. I did so only for analogy purposes)
And btw.... Brady's Super Bowls came before he was a top 5 QB. His first 2 rings were Trent Dilferesque. So your post is fucked in every way.

13 gonna 13...
I wonder how busted his nose is, but hey they must not be training enough right since it isn't all the way broken yet....
They were boxing... in 16s!! .
Noses get bloodied from time to time, usually from jabs.
You've never trained, have you?

D2 your football knowledge is but a shadow of your MMA knowledge. It would be best to refrain from NFL talk.
Your first post here is spot on. You should have left it at that. Cain IMO is fighting his biggest threat next. If he gets by Werdum who TF are you taking to beat him?
I won on an over 60-1 bet on that Balt. team (win SB). It does not matter WTF agrees with you or no TBH! The absolute proving ground in football know how is firstly measured in $$$ (same as any sport).
In fact it was Tenn or Balt that was going to win the SB that year. Balt got past Tenn 31-10 (iirc) in a head to head match up and I made my bet at that point. So how did that team put 31 on Tenn.? He also played quite well in the SB too.
Moreover, TBH anyone that had Denver to beat Seattle need never talk about football in a serious way for the rest of their lives thinking they know anything about the game at all.
Truly great defenses just don't lose that game very often period.
Edit: 1st post spot on minus "Based on accomplishments" of course
Edit 2: 31-30 I meant to type (iirc, not checking lol)
NewOldTRT09er -He could put strike him too. Also dcSolly97 - Cain is good but fabricio will destroy him if he shows up.Lol at Werdum destroying Cain. Comedian. He might catch him with a sub but that's about the only way he can win
Cain game plays into Werdums strengths. Although I would NOT be surprised if cain picked him apart, his western boxing is the best in the division behind JDS
Would murder Cain.
Jimmy Rustler - Cain Velasquez is the best fighter on the planet in any weight class.
Is that because someone else retired?
I'm sorry I couldn't resist please don't report me.
Surely he didn't make DCs nose bleed. Cain must be the GOAT. Lol.
But on a serious note, DC and Cain are killing it and glad to see true friendship. No bitch moves by either of them. Not to mention any names....Bones.
Cain already got beat by JDS once, he does not have that unbeatable aura Fedor had during his reign.
I think DC or Jones could get there though, not sure about who but leaning towards Jones.
