we always hear how DC says Cain beats him up in training all the time and people are always shocked at how hard they go against each other in sparring
DC is bragging about how Cain is getting him ready for Jones.. scary part is Velasquez doesnt even try to hurt him in sparring.. hes just so good and accurate

In my opinion, the best fighter on the planet is unknown. For the longest time, it was hands down Fedor.
Now, I'm pretty sure it's either Cain, DC, or maybe Jon Jones.

Cain has been hurting people since high school. I've heard stories of opponent's literally faking injury and/or illness to avoid wrestling him.
A HS state champion switched weight classes to avoid wrestling him. True story.
The MMA training camps are just crazy. Jones training with guys like Arlovski and OVereem and Cormier training with Cain

Based on accomplishments, I think on paper the edge goes to DC.
Unless you are putting more emphasis than I am on the UFC Gold.
Hard to imagine any amount of John Jones mind games can be effective against a guy who fights the heavyweight champ on a daily basis. Especially when you factor in he also competed in the Olympics level.

But that's like saying Trent Dilfer is a Superbowl champion.
There are Superbowl champions, but some stand out more than the others.
Trent Dilfter, yes, he's a "superbowl" champion, but his ring has a lot to do with factors beyond his skillset.
Cain Velasques, yes he's the "UFC Champion", but who he has fought doesn't make his championship seem Tom Brady-esque, it seems more Trent Dilfer-ish.
Right now, it's like Cain is Trent Dilfer, and DC is Dan Marino. One has the championship, the other doesn't. That doesn't mean that the one without the belt isn't better though.
