Retired UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal, like so many other MMA stars of past and present, got his start in the backyards of Miami, throwing hands with anyone willing to step up and test themselves against the king of Chinese bathroom brawls.
Mike Perry was watching.
Thatās why āPlatinumā would be honored to compete against āGamebredā in the bareknuckle arena. The 32 year-old Perry, who also fought inside the Octagon for several years, is now 4-0 under the BKFC banner with two knockouts.
āA definite tough fight, the toughest out there, would be the original bare knuckle boxer,ā Perry wrote on Twitter. āI watched him on kimbofights on YouTube in high school, I know calling him out could open a whole new world between us but man to man for the prize of a lifetime it would be an honor to bare knuckle fight [Jorge Masvidal].ā
Perry put away former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez to be crowned āKing of Violenceā at BKFC 56 last weekend in Salt Lake City. As for Masvidal, heās remained inactive since dropping a decision to welterweight veteran Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.
That said, Perry would have to convince Masvidal, 39, to join the BKFC lineup, or somehow get permission from his current promoter to compete under Masvidalās Gamebred FC banner. Unlikely, but certainly one of those āfantasy fightsā fans should keep an eye on.
Masvidal will probably want to cross promote it to get some of the BKFC shine
Of courseā¦heāll want to do it in his promotionā¦he donāt want that smoke
He is defly not a numgerrs guy b.
I like Perry and am a fan but his boxing is awful, Alvarez was working him until his eye shut
MVP also dominated Perry, that was one of the worst decisions Iāve ever seen
āEl Jefeā made his return to combat sports in October with a disqualification loss to Logan Paul in the boxing ring. However, as some might remember, it was nearly Dillon Danis vs. Mike Perry that night. The BKFC star was the backup fighter, and it appeared that he would be called upon on several occasions.
While they didnāt meet in the boxing ring, it appears that a BKFC bout between the two is possible. Speaking on The MMA Hour, Mike Perry stated that he was down for a fight with Dillon Danis. Furthermore, he believes that David Feldman and the bare-knuckle fighting organization are willing to pay āEl Jefeā quite a bit.

The fans would love to see it but donāt believe it will ever happen
Lol. Danis would get slaughtered.
Make it happen
Under boxing scoring he won though. MVP in bare knuckle and his two boxing matches he just jumps in and potshots then is back out again.
Be nice to see some actual combinations thrown by him.
