Everyone in the world wants to see this fight. Anderson finally moving up for good, taking revenge for his teammate against a guy who will force him to fight.
185 would be wide open with Belcher, Marquardt, Sonnen, Vitor, Okami, Maia all contending for the open title.
So many good things would come out of this decision and not a single negative aspect.

LOL, Shogun would have Chael doing his patented scream while getting submitted routine before the end of the first. Anderson vs. Shogun is definitely a far more compelling matchup.

The chances of anybody beating Anderson are like 1 in a 1000. I like this fight, I wanna see it. If anybody in the weight class has a chance right now, it's Chael. And 100% for sure, Sonnen will force Anderson to fight. I can't wait for that fight.

Darup - It doesn't surprise me that Anderson fans are trying to find any way possible to get out of the fight with Sonnen, they know Anderson doesn't match up well.
lol @ guy with deadly striking and under-rated sub game not matching up well in a 5-round fight with a guy who has almost literally no means of finishing him.
The real problem with this scenario is lil Nog and Machida.
As long as either of them are contenders I don't think Silva will move up. Machida might be out of the way for a while but lil Nog is still in the mix.
