Here’s what my fuzzy memory can recall. Ron was like a blue belt and had promised to mythbust if the donkey punch worked or not. Other things like where and who were discussed I’m sure but can’t remember the details leading up.
So Ron reports back. And in his report are pics of him in the middle of a gym in his gi pounding some chick’s face into the mat. I think another pic showed him loading up. For the punch loading up for the punch.

I’m pretty sure that happened I don’t think I’d make that up

Remember how crazy things got when they added the OG. My first MMA fight, and I don’t think many of us thought it would ever get this big. I remember the invasion of askme.com, getting the Ferg Follies tape in the mail, I got one of the mix CD’s that were made by somebody on here, I wish I remember who it was because it was a cool thing to have. The debate over the effectiveness of catch taught by Tony C. Tara LaRosa posting here regularly and her trashing Shelby repeatedly. It was an interesting time for MMA.

Grappling was “martial arts legends presents” before spinning off the regular monthly grappling magazine, the presents magazines were published quarterly(usually), and each issue would be on a different subject, one quarter it would be kickboxing, the next bjj etc. Grappling predates bodyguard by at least 5 years as a monthly published magazine

I remember Ultimate Athlete. They put on a few fights in So. California. I was at the fight at Morongo Casino where a massive brawl erupted between a bikers & the entire crowd. Riverside County Sheriffs showed up while we got the hell out of there.

IIRC, wasn’t Michell “Grapple Girl” Farrow one of the first women fighters on the forum?
