Click on clip #5 of Quinton Jackson's interview.
whatever, anyway its right there straight from rampages mouth
wow. not only did he get offered a bonus to lose, but he put to rest that theory that all Pride fighters made a ton of money that the UFC could never match. 10k 12k? wohoo.
"He didn't talk about the bonus' he got for tax reasons."
lol
Pride must hasve the worst fight fixers ever. 10K or 12k, LOL
lol @ this BS. The same rampage that got kicked out of pride. What did you expect him to say?
Pride = budo, honor, and loyalty.
EY, dude your just sad
I consider this to be a bald faced lie if not his typical BS of saying a different and conflicting thing per day for publicity value.
As far as money paid to fighters, a good lesson is the last K-1 show. The amounts locally paid were referenced as unrelated to the amounts paid directly in and from Japan, as opposed to from the US entity set up to promote a particular show. The latter lump sum payments, OR REGULAR SALARIES (as with Lesnar during training and the regular K-1 guys)in certain cases dwarfed the published US disbursements. This was the case for the US Pride shows too, but had no impact on what people wanted to post here to feel better.
Sounds like, after saying Pride fighters were better, and then showing up at K-1, he had to get on the party line big time.
mentions bsouth. never heard that before
I personally know two Pride fighters--one extrememly well-known(top 5 in weightclass)and one part-timer. I know what they earned for their fights--they made approximately what a comparable fighter in the UFC would make. Now, 2 is a small sample, but I dont put much stock in the "Pride paid better" argument
One thing is for sure, and that's that Quinton Jackson is a dirty liar, but we can trust what RLN, EvilYoshida, and StretchPlum say. They definitely know a lot more than Jackson could ever hope to know, and the are obviously infinitely more credible.
Pride = budo, honor, and loyalty. lol

Pride paid a lot more. This is a fact. Ogawa/Yoshida were paid 2 milllion each. Fedor was rumoured to get 1 million per fight. Vanderlei 500K. These were published in the Pride insider magazine kami no puro.
If UFC was paying just as good, they would have ALL left for the UFC. Money talks and UFC wasn't and still isn't delivering.
Fedor also refuses to sign with the UFC now becuase of their cheapskate policies.
Quinton was booted from Pride. He did not leave on good terms. What don't you idiots understand about that?
Pride had works PRIOR to Pride 25. Under new management, they haven't had a single work.
EvilYoshida is so bitter by the fact that his beloved company is now owned by UFC. Dont hate the UFC, hate the Japs who ran the company into the ground.
"T Bag
UFC paid now, or 2 years ago?"
The Top 5 in his weightclass guy in his last Pride fight (late 2006) made $32K.
The part-timer made $8K.
Is this really that different than UFC? Maybe slightly higher, but not noticeably so.
Don't argue with EvilYoshida. He is the most bull-headed person ever born.
Attjack, fair enough. People can take their pick. I'm comfortable with that. One clarification though---I'm not talking about the credibility of what he knows, but what he said. He's known to be a bs'r/kidder. What he is saying would have been known before this.
