Question for Greg Jackson haters

What is with the hate for Greg Jackson? Name one Jackson MMA fighter that is "boring"? You people and your blind hatred for some one based on false perceptions is absolutely rediculous. And Don't even say GSP because GSP isn't a Jackson MMA fighter his main trainer is Firas Zahabi at Tristar Gym in Montreal not Greg Jackson in New Mexico.

 No one? Any one?

I don't hate him, but he comes off a certain way that I think rubs people the wrong way. He doesn't seem the least bit personable in interviews.

Plus he facilitates some pretty safe gameplans that can result in decision wins that are not traditionally fan friendly. Phone Post

I wanna start off by saying I've NEVER accused any fighter of being "boring." I like Jon Fitch, GSP and anyone else who's called boring.

That being said, it's the game plans that Jackson institutes that usually end up coming off as boring.

He has a lot of exciting fighters in his stable, and most have done very well with finishes, but it seems like it's more a thing of the past. I know Jackson's been accused of taking good fighters and turning them boring, but I don't have any data to back up this claim.

BUT....it does kind of rub me the wrong way when I heard Jackson being quoted as, "If the crowd is booing, it means you're doing the game plan correctly" when Rashad fought Machida, I believe?

Not sure who it was, but a "fight" in a true sense of the word should never aim to be purposely uneventful.

I can understand your point and the reason you don't have any data to back up the fact that he takes boring fighters and makes them boring is because the fact is untrue and a huge misconception based on a few people who just seem to hate those who are more successful in life then they are.

Jon Jones, Cowboy Cerrone, L Garcia, Marquart, Carwin, Guillard, Brian Stann, John Dodson, Diego Brandao, Bang, Condit(in every fight but this one) are all point fighters obviously

He does sometimes institute gameplans that keep his fighters from losing (GSP who he is more a corner/strategist then main trainer for). But if you look at his fighters none of them are really considered to be boring fighters.

Cerrone

Stann

Kennedy

Garcia

Jones

Conditt

Sanchez

MacDonald

Brandao

Carwin

Dodson

none of those guys have I ever heard called boring before people started railing against Carlos tonight. And the guy has 2 decisions out of his 28 wins. Seriously people hate for no reason.

It's amazing the amount of idiocy that people spread with out looking at anything but the opinion of other idiots.

why is it that if you're not a fan you're somehow a hater...I don't even know the guy and hate is a very strong word...

look, he took an overly exciting fighter who has virtually all finishes in his winning column and made him fight a safe, boring (maybe not on purpose), and fighting-not-to-lose fight...that's all there is to it...I feel like Carlos' strategy still could have been more exciting if he'd engage, there were some combos he threw to counter Diaz that landed and he still chose to back pedal, I believe it was in the 4th round.
