It was in El Paso, TX in Super Brawl 9. Dan Severn was headlining against Joe "El Gigante" Fraley (I gave him the nickname....he was a 6'8" Irish kid but we were promoting on the Mexican border!). The show bombed! Who knew the Mexican public wouldn't come support 'one of their own'?!
Although it was obvious from the crowd size, when Dan came to get paid post fight he asked me how we did. I obviously told him 'not to good". He proceeded to ask me for 25% of his contracted pay. I have a feeling that will be the only time in my career that will happen.

I was inducted into The World Martial Arts Hall of Fame w/ him in 2001. He was a blast to hang out with. I met him before at the WEF and his sidekick at the time was Becki Levi (sp). She was a total maniac to hang out with too.
