I hate to break it to you, but that WAS real life - those guys trained and fought their balls off for years to get their shot, and Ken looked like he didn't give a shit about winning.
I agree with you in principle, but I don't consider TUF real life or real MMA. It's an interesting simulacrum though. Ken, like many vets just considered it a payday, which makes him a prick.
Believe me, it's real enough when your entire future is riding on whehter you or lose, and it's real enough when someone is beating your roof in. A fight is a fight whether it's being filmed or not.
