Maybe I'm just an old school Pride guy (love the UFC too) but Rampage has always been one of my favorites. I like people who deal with struggle and become bigger men. Say what you want but the man has done incredible things in his career. His banter back in the day with Quadros and Bas in Japan and his legendary fights will always make me respect the chain. Pisses me off that people diss him so much. He may not be YOUR type of fighter but you're probably some punk fan that just started w this shit.

I understand it is the time to spread kindness and good sentiment, but you just cannot erase all the dickness. It is still there........it exists. Best of luck to him though.
Was a fan but once he started making excuses for every loss and the constant complaining I'm happy to see him leave. I wish him all the best in his boxing career...

I actually was too......even though I had Glover in a parlay, it would have been fun to see Rampage go out on a high, while destroying one of the UFC's brightest new hot shots in the LHW division. However, I do still stand by my original comment above.

People don't understand what Rampage's victory over Chuck (in Pride) meant at the time. I'm not one of those queer Pride fanboys but that shit let cats know that Japan was holding it down. A lot of people were shocked at the outcome of that fight but Rampage dominated.

My favorite rampage fight and one of my favorite Mma fights of all time i was when he fought Kevin Randleman at pride 25 the way he shut down Kevin's wrestling and knees he hit Kevin with in the clinch just a complete classic

Fans like the OP are fans I respect. I get real annoyed with people who love a guy until he loses. I've always been a huge Rampage fan and always will be. Even if I get frustrated with the way he's fighting at times.

He tried man, shit! He could have got knocked the hell out so things could have been much worse. All fighters age and gradually lose some of the attributes that put them on top.

I don't know why he stopped slamming people or kneeing folks. Also his takedowns seem rusty. His hands and everything else have been amazing his KO's are legendary.
