Randy is the MMA version of ESPN's "Swammy". I wonder what his record is in MMA predictions. I remember him calling for the Gonzaga/CroCop upset which I thought to myself, "Randy, you sir, are fucking nuts!" WOW!

In all fairness to Randy though, a lot of people saw Serra/Hughes as somewhat controversial....

GSP is the favorite for sure, but the fight is one punch from a new champ. Longer the fight and faster the pace better the fight be for GSP

 Yea, but that fight was pretty close.  You can't fault anybody for picking either one.  A major fuckup would be something like picking Tim over Fedor.

Serra Hughes was only close because Serra hit him with a headbut and shot to the back of the head in the first round once Hughes recovered it was a walk in the park.
If Serra never landed those illegal blows it was a easy 30-27 win for Hughes
Yes I think this fight George is about a 70/30 fave but I wanna see how his takedowns are without the vasoline all over his body

I agree with you on the Serra/Hughes headbutt deal, but vasoline had nothing to do with GSP's takedowns, nor his vicious ground game. I see him molesting Alves, and I hope he does too cause Alves is a cheater, always has been.

Yes, a guy wanting to control his opponent in order to grab him and take him down would certainly want to be extra slippery, in order to thwart his own gameplan....

Randy is historically quite good with his predictions. He had GSP over Penn. He picked Serra over Hughes, but Randy may have some hard feelings against Hughes from the past, which could've influenced that prediction a bit.

First off I'm from Toronto Canada and GSP is my fave fighter but unlike most other people I did take him having vasoline all over him as cheating in the worst way, do I think he needed it no but thats just my opinion.
Second if you do roll and the person going to take you down is slippery as fuck which I never had anyone shoot on me with vasoline just sweat yes it does make a difference considering his forearms hands and biceps will be able to grip you and you can't get a good grip on him

Yes, Couture picking a guy to win has historically been indicative of that guy instead getting KOed.

Randy's record for fights not including XTreme Couture fighters is very good. He got the GSP-Penn fight correct, which is better than most people who also are picking GSP to lose this fight.
