So where does his quick KTFO of Chuck place Rampage in the 205 division ranking?
Uh...#1?
"Uh...#1?"
Even with Dan Henderson around? Explain your reasoning, please.
Well number one for now I think. I know there are people that are out there that beat him and beat him BAD but as the non-mma public in the US see it...#1. THe TUF crowd...#1. THe people that have been following the sport for a while...well maybe somewhere in the top 5. Look they had Chuck up there forEVER and we all knew he wasn't number one or even top 5. I always thought Jackson was better that Chuck only b/c of the competition that Rampage had fought in Pride....and not the Nipon Cans but the Chute Boxe guys and such.
I think that since Rampage has had those hard fought wins and hard ass KTFO's that he would be ready for Chuck. HOw many guys can come back from those KO's from W.Silva???
That's why seeing Chuck vs Wand would be interesting...provided it can happen.

LMAO @ having Arona ahead of Rampage, they really love him don't they?
Rampage is around #5
should not be ahead of Sok, Shogun, Silva, Hendo
WHen your the champ your number 1. I wouldnt put Shogun ahead of Hendo. Hendo is a champ in two seprarte weight classes which makes him pretty dam good. He also lost to some guys on that list. The PRIDE champs should be number one or two and UFC champ should be number one or two. After that Shogun number 3. Whoever after that i wouldnt argue.
The Calf Cruncher
Hendo is a paper champ at MW, so you can scratch that.
Hendo realistically just matched up well with Silva. If you watch Hendo's other fights he couldn't even beat Kondo or Misaki, small MWs that belong at 170.
Hendo would get tooled by most other LHWs. HE would get tooled easily by most like he got tooled by Lil Nog.
IMO, rankings don't mean shit if you don't have a title. The guys with the belts are atop the heap. Matt Serra's included in that, too.
You beat the guy with the title - you're #1 or at least #2 (in the case that there are other major titles out there).
Anything else is all just speculation.
1) Shogun
2) Rampage
3) Henderson
4) Sokojou
5) Chuck
6) Silva
7) Rogerio
8) Arona
9) Babalu
10) Tito
Rampage is either #2 or #3. He is the best shape of his, looking superb against Chuck, complete domination, Chuck did not even hit him.
Only ones you can put in front of him are Shogun and may be Henderson.
Silva is out of it, plus has 2 loses in a row. Arona, Rogerio KO'd. Rampage's win over Chuck was more impressive than any other win since Henderson KO'd Silva, which took 2 rounds. Soko is great, but need a few more fights, and plus Rampage has close to his power and better technique.
Entreri, Nakamura deserves to be ranked above both Tito and Babalu.
You both make good points.
I would still have Rampage #2 though.
Serra moved to #1 after beating GSP
Gonzaga did not move to #2 after beating CroCop
makes no sense to me.
"
^Not to shabby, but considering how Sok destroyed Arona and wee Nog i believe he has to be rated higher than Page."
Rampage also KO'd Arona, just KO'd the #1 guy on that list, and is 26-5 as opposed to Sok's 4-1. So what POSSIBLE rationale is there for putting Sok above Rampage?
Rampage is above Henderson as well. Dan only has one big win at 205, over a guy whose record in the past couple years is spottier than Chuck's. Dan also just lost at 185 (and is only 2-1 in his last three fights at 205). Dan has lost to two guys on that list (Arona and Rog) who are not and were not as highly ranked as the two guys Rampage has lost to (Silva and Shogun, both in the top 3).
