And he is trash talking for one reason only: to anger Rampage so Rampage agrees (against his better judgment) to take the title fight 2 months from now with virtually no time off from his last fight and training camp, and to AVOID FIGHTING a Brazilian Shotokan Karate master.

He said he "expects" Lyoto because that is simply trash talk towards Rampage.

I don't know about him wanted to avoid Lyoto, but I do think Rashad wants to goad Rampage into fighting him on short notice. The less time Rampage has to rest and recover, the better it is for Rashad.
