Having personally known Joe back in the day, he was a bit odd but a genuinely nice guy. It is too bad that he became a joke in the game.
He was training what is now MMA in 89-90 in Orange County in his garage in Garden Grove. He was also in a movie called Shootfighter with Bolo Yeung in 92 in the opening fight scene and actually did a back flip
