Relson Gracie/BJ Penn visit in Hawaii??

I'll be in Honolulu, Hawaii next week and was wondering if it was worth visiting the Relson Gracie school or the BJ Penn gym (not sure if he even has one) ....

I'm not even sure if Relson will be there considering his busy schedule, but I would like to go visit his school and take a class, it'd be cool since he was the one who promoted me to blue belt

As far as bj penn, it'd be cool just to meet him.

Anyone from Hawaii with the inside scoop? Should I even try to pay them a visit and just enjoy my trip ? Phone Post 3.0

It really depends on what you want to do. If you just want some good rolls, you'll probably be okay with any of the choices. It seems that Relson has some sorta tie to the majority of the pure BJJ dojos. I know Jake Shields and some other guys have been to Ron Shiraki's Relson affiliated gyms a few times. As far as the BJ Penn UFC Gyms, catching BJ at any of them....it'd be a bit lucky because he lives in Hilo on the big Island. All the UFC guns are on Oahu. I know his brother (JD) is the head trainer at the Waikele location and seems to always be there. As far as finding good people to roll with I think unless you're a pro fighter, you'll be okay at all those places. BJ has his own facility in Hilo. You can try and pop in there but who knows if he even allows that. If you are a pro fighter and looking for training etc, some good things seem to coming out of Waianae where Max Holloway and company train. No idea what that's called though. Phone Post 3.0

Yes, the MMA school @ Gracie Technics is Hawaii Elite MMA. The striking coach there is Charles Kipili'i.
