Guy was ahead of his time. I wonder what he’d be doing if he was still here. I don’t think he would have had Rogan success but definitely would be better than anyone around today.
Sad. I remember someone on the forum saying that one of the last things RB said was “…this is the happiest I’ve ever been”.
RIP
Ryan was a great guy.He was my co-worker with the WEC.He also commentated for the IFC another promotion that I worked for.
I had a few dinners with him & his wife.
Ryan was a bigtime Red Sox fan,so he might be at Boston Red Sox game.
Remember that he also had a gig with the UFC interviewing fighters after the fight.
Also remember that Ryan was the founder of MMAWeekly.
He did it for the love of the sport & not just a paycheck.
I did a lot of digging on Ryan and his unceremonious split from the UFC
I explain everything at the middle of this video
Dana “fired” pretty much the entire MMA internet media at that point. What’s funny is everyone was friendly until money started getting involved.
The way that a rogue web site would taunt the UFC and Dana firing Bennett over it…
Wow
Rip to a great man.
