Has anyone read "The complete idiot's guide to Ultimate Fighting"? Was it worth reading? I'm mostly just interested in reading it because Franklin was co-author.

Vaguely back on topic, the book is interesting but very, very basic. If you've a decent knowledge of MMA, it's not for you.
If you're an absolute novice, particularly regarding ground fighting, then it's worth shelling out for.

I saw the Complete Idiots Guide at the bookstore a few weeks ago. Just from scanning it I got the impression that it is probably the best single resource out there for understanding the sport along with actually watching fights.

Okay Rich Franklin for sure got fucked in both of his fights with Silva. I am assuming that is the point of this thread, HE didn't learn anything from the first 'fight'. He just stood with Silva again. The butt scoot would have probably worked in this situation. Do you know what the worst part of this whole thing is, Silva-Franklin 3 in June 2008.
