It will mean the Aldo fight will still be huge. I loved the anticipation for this fight (even tho we were let down). I still want that satisfaction of a huge fight finally happening and knowing if my guy won or not.....Conor has a chance to win more people over now too in the mean time...

I'm wondering how long Mendes has been preparing for this because he must cut pretty large amounts weight to fight normally and on short notice he may have to dehydrate himself more which has been proven to make you susceptible to a KO. With the new laws in place he can't IV right?

Worst case scenario:
He fought Conor and lost, he'd bank 3-5mil.
Then bank the same if not more in the instant rematch.
Had he won then he'd have his most viewed win and hopefully bank more in his next defence, plus the infamous UFC trilogy..
Now his next title defence he'll make 2-300k for Aldo V Mendes 3, even though it will be plugged as Champion Vs Champion!
Atleast after this loss we might get to watch Conor Vs Cub..

Not sure how much he cuts but I doubt it's a huge amount. Aldo dwarfs him and he's 5'8
