Rory is still growing. He was fighting at 155 a couple years ago and had to move to WW because he couldn't make 170 any more. I can see him moving to 185. 
Team mates should not be forced to fight each other. Do people expect Rory to fight GSP and get bounced from one of the best camps in MMA? That would make no sense for him long term.

There are MWs who have a shorter reach than GSP, and he is only 1-2" away fromt eh average height of the division.

Put Rory against a well rounded wrestler like Koscheck or Hendricks, then we will see. I personally see many MW fighters defeating Rory handily at the moment. He hasn't been truly tested yet besides the Condit fight. Like LnP said, he needs a top 3 contender assuming he beats Penn.
It seems people underestimate Rory before each of his fights. Sure he hasn't beat a top ten welterweight. But look at how he dominated in each of his 4 UFC wins. Diaz, and Pyle are no joke. Not too mention he took two rounds off Condit before fading in the third. The UFC should give him a mid tier wrestler after the Penn fight win or lose to see where he stands.

my issue is that people are talking about him getting the WW title and he has not beat any WW contender. nate diaz is top 5 in lw, but ww was just worthless for him.
