Seen him tonight on Spike and finally got to watch his fight against Haynes and he destroyed him. Rory looked very dominate and well rounded. He had great boxing, muay thai, used the crazy monkey well, awesome clinch, and great jits.
Plus he had good conditioning and just looked on his game. I definitely think he is underrated here and should be on the top ten list at 185 for everyone. If not then name TEN fighters better then him at that weight.
The sky is the limit for him potential wise. I havent had a chance to watch him much other then when he was on TUF and he really impressed me. Anyone know when he is fighting in the UFC again?
Has great tools, but needs to put it all together and beat some good opponents before I'd consider him top ten. He did well against Jason MacDonald before getting caught. That fight showed me he has a lot of potential.
I can't believe they show that fight. It's bloody, gory one for sure. Also, neither fighter is going anywhere in the division.
You would think they would use Unleashed to market all the marquee names (or at least potential) and thereby generate more interest in ppvs. They could then just mix in some "exciting" fights among lower level fighters. I guess that's what they consider Singer/Haynes to be.
lol at not being able to improve at his age. you act like he is in his mid 40's!
The post above is very true. Randy improved leaps and bounds at that age. Rory already has a tremendous skill set. He has a chance against anyone at his weight with his ground game and stand up.
" I definitely think he is underrated here and should be on the top ten list at 185 for everyone. If not then name TEN fighters better then him at that weight."
I'm confused by your post. I'm not sure based on the above sentence if you think he is one of the 10 best fighters at MW or you think he is ranked in the top 10?
Either way the following fighters are better and ranked above Rory (who does have all the tools).
Trust me, Rory does not think of himself as even a top 50 fighter right now. He is back in the gym working hard and is goign to start a new run soon. He looks up to Marcus Davis as an example of what a fighter can do to change themselves.
I don't want to be disrespectful to him, but I strongly disagree with the initial post. I lost alot of respect for Rory when he was on here posting that "Shogun can suck it"
