Rumina Sato

I have seen los of ads for the Sato 10 year anniversary dvd...but I have never seen him fight. I have heard good things about his submissions - can anyone who has seen the dvd let me know whether it is exceptional or not.

Member since 2001 and have never seen Sato???

Hmmm.....

i have the dvd. it's awesome. if any of it were in english it would be nice, but it is extremely cool

I guess I don't watch a lot of Shooto...

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

Sato is the Charles Barkley/Dan Marino of MMA.

ttt

Sato is the man. He would have been HUGE in the U.S.

The most dynamic sub fighter of the original era. Similar to Newton, Saku, Sudo. Some of the craziest subs ever seen.

MMA's original dynamic submission master. Slick, explosive, always looking for the finish.

Those that came after him (Saku, Newton, Sudo, etc) were good, but for me, Sato will always be THE man.

His mma career seems to be winding down for a while now, but does he still do subgrappling tournaments? I think he could still be a force.

Sato and Sakurai were the shit.

Rumina Sato is one of the few guys who can pull off a flying arm bar in a real fight.
