Salter v Mousasi

That'll be Bellator's title fight early next year. Salter is a fucking beast and one of the best American grapplers.

Depends on Bellator, they have no one else for Carvalho to fight or that's more deserving.

Salter beats Mousasi as well, been a huge fan of Gegard's for years but he can't out grapple Salter.

and yes, he taps Carvalho

Carvalho is fighting Sakara next.

Salter is a good fighter, Gegard is a great fighter. I don't think anyone apart from Jacare can catch Gegard in a sub nowadays at MW. Moose by TKO if this ever happens

And post USADA 38 year Jacare would lose now to Gegard as well.

Since USADA Gegard has been unstoppable

And if you look at Gegard's career, you said it perfectly, truly a great fighter alltime, top 25 to me, especially considering half his wins or 1 or 2 weightclasses up and you don't have to worry about PED's with him like most of the other alltime great fighters

Who cares about USADA now, Mousasi aint fighting under them and neither will his future opponents.

Brabatross - Carvalho is fighting Sakara next.

Is that set?

Wow, bold statement, Salter is remarkably underated, but if Gegard can ahndle Chris Weidman's grappling and get up that easy, I doubt Salter can keep Gegard down, Gegard actually has greatly improved his TDD, to the point where his wrestling is now a strength, that's why Gegard might truly be the best MW in the world.

Peace

Salter has wrestled all his life and was NAIA champion you can't learn TDD for a year or less and expect to handle someone of that caliber.

Mousasi can get lazy, and complacent on his back look at the King Mo fight.

Salter ran through one of the toughest ADCC gauntlets a few months back.

Hayden, Hinger and DJ Jackson.

Now he may not sub Mousasi but I'm confident that he could control him with dominant positions.

If you're that confident I'd love to see it now myself just to see how it plays out. After seeing how Moose scrambled against Weidman after a rocky start, I just can't see Salter doing any better. Moose has a tough fight ahead of him in Shlemenko too, he is by far the better fighter but Shlemenko is no joke on the feet

That is a tough fight for Gegard. Hopefully Salter finally gets his shot at the title

See, you are living in the past, you had to go all the way back to the King Mo fight when Gegard was 24 years old, and even that fight no one who saw it thinks he really lost, just judges gave King Mo a win for lnp even though Gegard oustruck him by a ridiculous margin, it ws something like that 190 strikes for Gegard and 70 strikes for King MO

Also,

Chris Weidman is a better and more pedigreed wrestler than John Salter, Mousasi was able to get back up beautiuflly an dfast with a butterfly guard

Not to mention he took down Mark Munoz a wrestler easily

And he fought Thales Leites, a jits guy but a jits guy with outstanding wrestling, not only could Thales not take Gegard down, Gegard was taking Thales down

Stop bringing up fights when the guy was 24, especially the King Mo fight that was a shit dec, hes about to be 32 reaching his peak  and he clearly has shown a greatly improved wrestling game.

This is a bad fight for Salter, but Mousasi is a bad fight for any MW in the world.

Been following majority of Mousasi's career, Gegard the guy had over 30 fights when he fought King Mo so that's not an excuse.

He becomes lazy and complacent reason he lost to Mo. they were both gassed by the 3rd but he couldn't get off his back.

None of the guys you named have better BJJ than Salter, and Weidman has turned into Koscheck... fell in love with his stand up and stopped relying on their strengths.

Salter is a much smarter fighter than Weidman...  but I will admit this, if Mousasi surprises me and keeps it standing than Salter is in trouble.

Shitty news, Carvalho has now defended his title twice to underserving fighters.

SensoriaUtopia -

Maybe, so you are saying Salter beats Carvalho?  Are they for sure even fighting next. I think it's a pickem fight, but I would favor Carvalho to win.

Either way, Mousasi is the world's best MW, he will beat whoever at 185, and may go up to 205 and probably beat most of their lhw's as well

Mousasi gets title shot with win as Bellator already has the 185lb belt up for grabs coming up. So Salter would be challenging the champion Mousasi

Dude, you still don't get it, bringing a fight that most people thought he won, and when he was 24 really bears little relavance.  Weidman actually tried his best to take Gegard down, he was not standing and wanging until the 2nd when he was not able to take Gegard down.

Are you saying Salter has better BJJ than Thales Leites, that's a bit rich.

If Gegard can keep it on the feet against Weidman and Thales Leites, I really like his chances against Salter.  But I can respect your view though, cause we don't agree but you can articulate at leats and you give Mousasi credit, unlike this moron brabotross who is making himself look lame.

I love Mousasi but just being realistic, l've been in the gym and seen Salter handle some strong wrestlers like Kosheck and Honeycutt.

And yes what BJJ grappling tourney's have Leites won and when?

Go read his interview, he talked to Scott Coker about that, Gegard says that he has a deal with Scott that if he suspects anyone of any kind of PED use, he can have them randomly tested whenever he wants

Yes because all fighters will bend to the will of all-powerfull Moose Asi every time he damnds someone be tested right? LMAO

Next thing you're going to tell me Bellator actually tests Chael Sonnen with rigor.

Actually keep believing, and while you do let me sell you this beach front property in Nebraska real quick.
