2007 NAIA National Champion Wrestler, Casca-Grossa Champ and NAGA champ John Salter improved his MMA record to 3-0 Saturday night with a submission victory in the main event of Combat Sports Championship II in Birmingham.
Salter took a hard right hand from E.J. Brinkley at the start of the fight that appeared to rock him. He composed himself and got the takedown, where in a matter of seconds he had a head-arm choke set up and got the tap.
Congrats to Salter!
Also winning on the card was 3 time collegiate all-american wrestler from Las Vegas, Josh Sampo, who pushed his record to 2-0.
