Contrary to several Internet reports, UFC president Dana White confirmed with MMA Fighting on Wednesday that organization had not signed Japanese lightweight fighter Satoru Kitaoka.

Kitaoka, 27-10-9, is just 2-2 in his last four fights.

At the moment, there doesn't appear to be any interest from the UFC in signing him.

Any chance of a full list of fighters they haven't signed?

They should sign him. Dude has nasty submissions and is a top 20 LW for sure.

They could have set up a Kitaoka vs. Joe Daddy doppelganger match. Those dudes look like brothers from another mother.

Kitaoka is a guy who could be an elite LW with better training imo.

He already has a great top game, very dangerous with leg locks and an extremely nasty guillotine.  On top of that he seems to have big power in his hands for a LW he just doesnt seem to train standup much if at all so his technicque is pretty horrible, that coupled with his cardio problems have been his downfall in big fights.

I would definitely be interested in the UFC snatching him up.

He does train standup, quite extensively. Trouble is the guy he does so many private lessons with is a taekwondo guy.
