Here’s a funny one. After Ken and I worked out at twin arbors like always I went and opened the Den. It was still early in the morning and real foggy. I open up the door to the big warehouse that’s a couple stories high and real dark. I flip on the big bank of light switches and the entire warehouse is glowing with every color there is. It’s on the roof our training gear, wrestling shoes,it’s everywhere. I’m staring at it like did a bunch of junior high IDIOTS throw a rager or what. Right then Jason and Frank walk in and start freaking out. They had dropped a healthy spot off acid then went to play in the vineyards. Neither one remembered ending up here. I was like listen you hippies how the hell did you get in here they had no clue. So for the next month or 2 lion’s den was a pretty laid-back place to chill and trip out with the lights off. :snowflake::unicorn:

It was like 15 years ago, I’m not losing any sleep over it lol

More illustrating the point someone else was making, your sherdog record might not tell the whole story

It’s never dangerous for me but I’m classified as Criminaly insane with a jacket full of violent offenses and to never be stopped pulled over or rolled up on by cops unless they are 6 deep and all have their guns drawn and aimed at me. Traffic ticket, someone stole my mountain bike ,whatever until I’m cuffed up. They’re jacked.when I explain someone broke in my shed the sarge knows me and uncuffs me police report and the sarge always telling me Scott please don’t kill anybody outside by your shed. Now if they come in your house we’ll you just do what you do.even got stun gunned twice when I called them 2nd time broke my ankle had to go with them to er for cast for 3hrs. I asked both cops. I called you,I made no sudden movements and didn’t raise my voice. So why in God’s name would you hit me once that didn’t do it crank it up to max drop me and break my ankle. Both told me listen Scott we know exactly who you are and your reputation we have wives and kids and we couldn’t take the chance. I’m like bros you both have glocks in holsters ,shotguns, and fully automatics in the trunk. One said yeah we do but we also know how quick you can overpower us,kill us and go. At first I was really pissed off. Then I just felt extreme pity for them.i mean to have to be a man and walk around with fear seems debilitating. I was just chilling, poor lil fellas.

This is a blast from the past.

Whatever happened to Lance Trammell? I was 15 years old when Scott and Lance and whoever else came to Indiana for Lance to fight on HooknShoot. I had become acquainted with the guy Lance was fighting on the old Combat list. Dave Barney. I will skip the insanity leading up to the fight but somehow I end up in Dave’s corner with the towel and Lance basically attempts to murder him, within the rules. Never heard of him competing after that.

Hahaha! Fuck man, most people just aren’t built that way. Don’t know how to take a guy like you, totally throws them off, gives them weird vibes or something and puts them in a place where they don’t know if the ground is balanced or not. Im not near your level of kilter, but I at least can glimpse where you are coming from and it makes more sense to me than 99.9% of people I meet. Helps me understand my blood and why I am the way I am. Thanks again for being so forthright with your life.

Yes I know it.

Obviously not every behind the scenes detail… but yeah I know the story.

And I still say it was a draw.
Frye was saved by the bell twice – and we know he had some help “feeling no pain”.

You must have some bas rutten stories

Yeah Lance was one of my fighters so I got him fights that stuff. He was the ex-golden glove champion for California and had gone all the way to the national semifinals. We get out to Scott Sullivan gym in Evansville and I was like oh crap this is nuts. I had only fought in or cornered other fighters in the UFC and Pancrase 2 biggest shows on the planet. But we settled in got warmed up. When Lance took his track suit off you could hear a faint oh fuck. Lance was massive and ripped up.we look over and see his opponent. Lance goes no way they’re not gonna make him fight him, right? I went and checked. When the fight started the more Dave guy looked liked he was being hit by a truck he went down. For a second he just kinda sat there,Lance shrugged his shoulders like now what. I yelled Lance beat him fuckingto death. He tried ref pulled him off fight over. The next hook n shoot was in a auditorium Lance was fighting Geza Kalman and got to fight the main event against this big pussy named Mike Kennedy ,dude ran so much smack me I was gonna “accidentally” throat stomp him shut him up for good. After all his shit talking he never even got onto a plane to Evansville. Lance fought geza things were good til Gerald got Lance down and beat him up nick starks asked if could be in his corner when he fought iron bear Gary meyers that went sideways real quick. Then Lance retired cuz his wife didn’t want him to hurt his hands cuz he was a contractor.

I took me years but when I finally got it I was 285pds of muscle with 21in arms and power that I would sometimes break someone’s rib rollin them off me. It was a whole new ànd torturous tool.how to be in the side positions and move your body until they couldn’t breathe or rollin with a new fighter and getting on top and staying there til he couldn’t breathe and begged you to get off. No I will when I want to. That’s where I would break men after awhile they panic and I’m still smothering them than with some guys they’d break start crying and say they wanted to fly home. What we were doing was sadistic and immoral. Yep I’d say you need to find another line of work. But than with Jerry, pete, jeff, frank, noah,Mikey, Tom I found out the only way to break them was to kill them and than we had our young boys

Yeah, that’s how much I’ve been hit in the head. I was there for the Geza fight with Lance and the Starks/Myers fight too.

From our perspective, we met Dave on the way to Indiana and all we knew beforehand was he was a kickboxer. When we saw him and knew he was fighting your guy we were like “oh fuck”. Dave was none the wiser. Totally down for it. He was given multiple opportunities to not step in there and he either didn’t pick up on them or he just didn’t care.

I also remember the Kennedy shit talking leading up to that. Jeff had me fired up for that fight and then the no show was sold bullshit.

Side note, we rolled up to the sweet motel everyone stayed at and the first thing we see is you, Lance, and someone else. Our friend, 16 years old was like hey I want to say what’s up to them. Instead he says “hi…I watch you on UFC” and you replied with “….cool.” He caught shit for that for a solid 10 years after.

I actually thought of a few more things to ask Scott.

You mentioned that you were basically mimicking Severn for the first fight Shamrock had with him. Did the fight go the way you thought it would, like Dan did what you thought and Ken capitalized, or was there less strategy? What were the things Ken was concerned about that you helped him with?

Other question, you knew Ken from when he started, but what were his actual combat sports credentials prior to beginning with Pancrase/MMA? He had been a pro wrestler for a while, but I don’t think he wrestled in college or anything like that. Or did he?

When he had the rematch with Severn, did the last minute rules change about open hand striking affect him? Because it seemed like the UFC made it clear they were just saying that because of a court order or something. Mark Schultz basically said that was how the UFC treated that. I remember Ken said something like he was a role model for kids and didn’t want to break the rules on live TV.

And sorry if it’s been asked, but what fights did you have lined up in the UFC that never happened? I thought you might have mentioned Paul Varelans. If you knew him what did you think of him?

Yeah when Lance and I walked into Sullivan gym,I was like oh shit I hope they have an ambulance cuz this is gonna go sideways quick. When we saw Dave,Lance goes bro they’re not gonna make me fight him? I said yep and you got to beat the brakes off him just like if it was a world ranked fighter in the UFC. He said ok. Lance hit him flush with every shot,Dave went down Dave said something and I yelled at Lance to fuck his whole world up.he did. After the fight Lance felt badly about how much of a beating he put on Dave. I told him,bro not to many guys can hang with us, don’t take it personally it’s just the law of the jungle. I’m glad Dave is good cuz that night he looked tore up. Oh the lil 15yr old you guys shouldn’t have teased him. I say Kool when I’m asked most questions. The next hook n shoot with Mike Kennedy talking so much shit about me then not even getting on the plane. Man I wanted to put that lil bitch in the fucking ground. Fuck him

First Paul and I were friends spent 3 months in Dallas together with Andy Anderson. I can say without a doubt that Paul had the biggest heart ever in the UFC’s. Mark Kerr,Kimo,Tank,Ruas,Ken and Igor damn near beat him to death. He never quit or even thought about tapping he just took it and moved on. You would of had to beat him to death with a brick to make him quit. Ken and I were watching the Gracies come to the cage once and Ken said see that dude with that lil rat tail that’s who they are negotiating with to fight you next. I was Kool. Later I found out it was Hickson Gracie and he wanted a million dollars. Bummed me out I wanted to wear gloves and turn his lights off,oh well. I became Dan everyday using my weight to keep Ken in place using wrestling moves and then going down for a leg to put Ken on the mat. Did it everyday. Fight time came it was like watching me on film at the Den he bent over for a weak takedown and Ken damn near popped his head off in 2mins. I don’t talk about Ken and Dan’s second fight I wasn’t there to train him so he got what he trained for.

Glad to see @Gunthug1 get his appropriate role. Cheers!

What was your childhood like, were you always a sociopath even as a kid or was it stimulated by your upbringing? Any stories from your childhood that would be interesting?

How did you sustain the brain injury?

I was diagnosed twice for being a Sociopath. My junior year in high school and my sophomore year in college. Luckily for me they do a battery of tests because not all sociopaths are the same. I have no deviant behaviors sexual or hatred towards women. I have no anger issues,OCD or radical illogical impluse controls.i can have relationships and can show remorse. My childhood had nothing to do with it. Fortunately but sometimes extremely unfortunately sociopaths are extremely charming and usually highly intelligent. So it depends on who and what you are. Sociopaths do not overthink, ponder, become overwhelmed,I have never felt fear or worry. I was married for 14yrs to a absolutely beautiful work of art.one of God’s masterpieces. She was the perfect wife in every sense of the word. But I didn’t love her.i liked her she was a total blast to be around but no love. My dad died when I was 18 and I still haven’t shed a tear. A couple of months ago my little sister died after being blown up being in Fresno trauma burn center for 90 days with burns over 90% of her body then died. I don’t cry because I can’t cry. On the whole my life is mellow calm and emotionless. Very simple. Except when some guy hurts my littlest sister or mom or my nieces than shit goes o dark thirty quickly, effectively and permanently.
