SCOTT COKER...wtf...

He has to pull ratings while he stacks up the roster. Coker dnt fuck around. But tonight was just shitty MMA. Phone Post 3.0

But how long will people keep tuning in? I haven't heard anyone (you're non hardcore MMA fan) talking about any of the fights being any good or pointing out things they liked. It's been all negative. Phone Post 3.0

Well Bellator has been putting on freak show fights for years now and they still pull ratings, seems like people will tune in as long as they recognize the names.

The only time people actually watch is when there are freak fights all the other shows have had shitty ratings

Right, people tune in for the big names, just like they do for UFC events. I guess the major difference is Zuffa's big names have a ton of talent where Bellator, well we all saw tonight's main events.

WCW's business model right there

Yeah but WCW shelled out a ton of $$$ to get top talent from their competition, Bellator isn't doing squat to draw top talent from the UFC.

But it does wear thin. People have mentioned WCW and it's a prime example. It might take a few years but people do get tired of freak show/past big names events. Phone Post 3.0

I disagree with this. I'm sure bellator made a big play for overeem. Phone Post 3.0

What would you do instead if you were head of bellator? I think theyre doing exactly what they can to bring the eyes in.. put on headlining/coheadlining big name money fights and get those views up while building the actual fighters further down the card. seriously got a better option anyone? For starters I wouldn't have have had those shit as co/main... Put some of your top talent as the co/main and make the freak show earlier on the main card. Phone Post 3.0

Well it was a freak show and not good. The only reason I don't have a problem with it is because it was free on Spike. No way I would pay for that card. Phone Post 3.0

Im a big fan...but u just set your promotion back...How long will viacom support this shit storm... Phone Post 3.0

Lol at thinking Coker is somehow going off script and letting Viacom down.

Viacom are pushing for this shit. That doesn't absolve Coker, but it also doesn't mean this WWE farce direction is his personal master plan.

coolcdn - If anyone tuned in to watch those two main event fights and expected more was just plain foolish. Look at the stir it caused.
Exactly Phone Post 3.0
I watched expecting nothing but a total shit show. I wasn't disappointed in that regard. But i said it when it was announced this is going to be bad for Bellator going forward. It doesn't matter how much talent you have when you put that garbage at the top of a card. Phone Post 3.0

Most of The people that complain only tune In because The freakshow caught there attention. Most haven't cared To Watch and never will Watch hundreds of Good fights that bellator Has promoted In The past Phone Post 3.0

GayLardAss - Im actually afraid that Bellator is so bad its its not only going to hurt itself, but the UFC as well. Some casual fans probably dont know the difference between Bellator/UFC and just decide mma isnt for them, and who could blame them after that complete joke of an event Bellator just put on. Phone Post 3.0

mma isnt for everybody.if that is all it takes to turn someone off of mma forever they were never going to be a fan anyway

They also just signed one of the best free agents in Bendo. Have the punk Thompson, I believe Rampage coming back. Signed 3 hottie women, Kharitono, Davis, Leben. There Champs are all pretty damn good. I don't get the hate besides fan boys comparing it to the UFC. I've seen my fair share of shit UFC cards.

Over dramatic UGers. Don't pay attentions. Yes, MMA is going to go down the drain because of Bellator. lmao.
