Both guys were afraid to pull the trigger. Even though Sean Brady was basically stalling the entire time it’s still super impressive.
Espinoza’s retard slam headbutt was hilarious. Spazzy whitebelt game technique.

I realize that, I was just saying without saying I guess that injury I believe has them traumatized to leglocks for events the contracted fighters are competing in. A way to try and prevent less injuries that leave them out for long periods of time. I guess they just assume there is more competence positionally everywhere else than in the legs with some coming on faster than the brain says your fucked and to tap. Haha
I’m excited to see a potential Gordon vs Nicky match up. Nicky rod looked good last night too bit of a feeling out but Steve is fucking huge and a good grappler that rnc was tightttt. Can’t wait for adcc it’s gonna be nuts.
No he’s not
Yes he is
This thread is showing the grappling noobs.
Chiesa (as much as I like him) is not a Wizard
Jones wasn’t allowed to heel hook
Brady didn’t do much, Jones was the only one with actual submission attempts
I will say heel hooks or not, for Brady to not only survive, but “beat” a top grappler is impressive.
Chimaev, Burns, Maia all eat him. I would love
To see Shields vs Brady in grappling actually. I have a feeling Brady is a fish out of water on his back
It was surprising Jones couldn’t sweep him
It looked like brady just stayed as tight as possible, held an under hook and sprawled his legs back anytime Jones shifted his hips. He did a good job with head position as well.
I don’t even want to read a summary because I’ll fall asleep!
Yes. Regardless of whether Sean should have won the decision, surviving with Jones immediately puts him toward the top of the list of no-gi BJJ guys in MMA. I can’t think of many comparable examples of MMA guys doing so well against the best no-gi grapplers (for MMA guys who didn’t transition from sport BJJ):
-Kerr/GSP at ADCC
-Faber over Miyao
-Randy drawing with Jacare
It’s extremely impressive.
Especially when Jones tapped other top mma grapplers quickly
It would be like an mma fighter going the distance against a top boxer in boxing
-Chiesa has an excellent MMA top game. I think that’s fair to say.
-Agreed with the bottom line that surviving is impressive.
-Chimaev would be a huge favorite because he can probably take Sean down. Unclear whether Maia or Burns could, and definitely unclear whether they could sweep him.
Nothing happened and the BJJ was not allowed leg locks. Lol dude was salty at the end.
