It seems like a logical fight since GSP is out. Serra doesn't like Hughes much, so it adds a little more excitement to the mix. Hughes needs some kind of comeback fight so it's a good fight for him too.
Better matchup for Serra. Not much better, but a little.

If Serra had fought GSP, he would've been knocked out. The fight wouldn't even go to the ground.
If Serra fights Hughes, It'll definitely go to the ground. Thats what Serra wants.
