A little backround info for the thread... St Pierre opened -450 over Serra.............Money (wagers placed on GSP) drove that line up as high as
-1300/+900 that night....majority of sportbooks crippled the players .....they probably had hold % of close to 20% when u count in all the St Pierre parlays.......
Hold = % made of every single dollar bet on the fight on either guy.... so hypothetically....if they wrote 2 mill in bets...the books scooped 400k...
Ironically..when they rematched....the books won a ton again...because everyone bet Serra again...the wiseguys were all over GSp...
off top of my head...and this isnt relective of the entire market..but a good portion of it...
Sokoudjou +1500 vs. Minotoro **the books lost on....small though...
Takase +800 vs. Anderson .........i dont recall....but 2003...no one was booking high limits on Pride fights..so exposure was low...
Gonzaga +500 vs. Cro Cop *books won an absolute ton on this fight...
Silva and Cro Cop draw under modified "automatic draw after 5 rounds" rules +1500 **only MVP Sportsbook made that blunder ....and suprisingly still payed the players...but they are no longer in business..largely because of the BetonSports.com indictments...and because they had shitty rep for not paying winners...

I play pretty much everywhere... but I dont bet with them ...so I have no personal bad experience with there..
Joey, thanks for the info. I can only speak from a bettor's perspective, but those lines were all good for me. ;) I still think about Sokoudjou at +1500 vs. Minotoro and laugh.
Fedor +300 vs. Minotauro (first fight) was another good one.
I don't bet large amounts but it is fun. I have a couple of good wins now including this one. I remember seeing the Sok/Minotoro line but I didnt bet it. Another good bet I made lately was Mousasi winning the Dream GP. I also just bet on the steelers at +5.5 and thats looking good.

I have about a dozen solid outs that I play at... I have had problems getting paid from alot of places over the last 10 years....even some of the bigger operations.....only miles up street from me in Costa Rica.....
and its hard enough to win betting......so no mater how much I am tempted to bet into a soft number...I learned hard way not to risk betting money anywhere I'm not 100% confident I'm gonna get paid when I win....
best advice..... If you see a weak betting line...different from the top tier shops.....unknown books.....& huge bonuses etc....u are probably betting into a weak bankroll or even a potential stiff book..
