Hispanics are a mix of White (Spainards & Portuguese), Native South, Central and Carribean Indians and Black (West African slaves brought by the Europeans). The reason people believe that Hispanics have no black in them is because the biggest hispanic group in the USA are Mexicans, who have little if any black in them. Almost every other hispanic country has a decent % of African blood. Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Panama, Venezuela, Honduras, Colombia, and Brazil all have quite sizable black populations.
In terms of Miguel Cotto, he actually looks like a mix of all 3.
As a matter of fact, of the countries with the most black population, Brazil is second only to Nigeria.
